Telescopic seating installation in a Scandinavian school – 12.6 m | 6 rows | 131 spectators
DECAN has completed the installation of a new telescopic seating system in a Scandinavian educational facility, engineered in strict compliance with the applicable European standards for structural steelwork and spectator facilities.
The system has a total length of 12.6 metres, arranged in 6 rows, with a capacity of 131 spectators, and is equipped with manual folding seats. This configuration ensures efficient space optimisation while maintaining structural robustness and operational simplicity.
The steel structure has been manufactured in accordance with EN 1090, Execution Class EXC2, Method 2, ensuring factory production control (FPC), material traceability and certified welding procedures in line with European requirements for load-bearing steel structures.
In addition, the design and configuration comply with EN 13200-5, the European standard governing telescopic stands within spectator facilities, covering structural stability, imposed loads, row geometry, access provisions and protective elements.
A key technical challenge in this project was the structural adaptation to an existing wooden staircase located on one side of the hall. A dedicated integration solution was engineered to maintain geometric alignment, ensure proper load transfer and fully comply with safety requirements.
The system includes steel lateral safety railings and an efficient opening and closing mechanism, enabling maximum flexibility of the multipurpose space.
This installation further demonstrates DECAN’s capability to deliver certified telescopic seating solutions tailored to specific architectural constraints and fully compliant with current European regulations.

DECAN har fullført installasjonen av en ny teleskoptribune i en skole i Skandinavia, prosjektert og produsert i samsvar med gjeldende europeiske standarder for bærende stålkonstruksjoner og tilskueranlegg.
Tribunen har en total lengde på 12,6 meter, fordelt på 6 rader, med kapasitet for 131 tilskuere, og er utstyrt med manuelle nedfellbare seter. Løsningen gir effektiv arealutnyttelse samtidig som den sikrer høy strukturell stabilitet og enkel betjening.
Stålkonstruksjonen er produsert i henhold til EN 1090, utførelsesklasse EXC2, metode 2, med dokumentert fabrikkproduksjonskontroll (FPC), materialsporbarhet og sertifiserte sveiseprosedyrer i samsvar med europeiske krav til bærende stålkonstruksjoner.
Design og utforming er videre i samsvar med EN 13200-5, standarden for teleskoptribuner i tilskueranlegg, som omfatter krav til stabilitet, nyttelaster, radgeometri, adkomst og sikkerhetselementer.
En sentral teknisk utfordring i prosjektet var tilpasningen til en eksisterende tretrapp på den ene siden av rommet. Det ble utviklet en spesialtilpasset integrasjonsløsning for å sikre korrekt lastoverføring, geometrisk tilpasning og full overholdelse av sikkerhetskravene.
Tribunen er utstyrt med sidebeskyttelse i stål samt et effektivt system for åpning og lukking, noe som gir høy fleksibilitet i flerbruksområdet.
Med denne leveransen demonstrerer DECAN sin kompetanse innen sertifiserte teleskoptribuner tilpasset komplekse arkitektoniske forutsetninger og fullt ut i samsvar med europeiske standarder.
